Hey guys!! it’s been a little while since I’ve last written, but I have been crazy busy ending work and getting ready to head back to school. I am so excited to get back to school and see my friends again, but that means summer is sadly coming to an end :(. This summer has been VERY different for me. In the past I’ve spent my summer’s relaxing, being with friends and family, and occasional work. This summer I had to really learn how to balance a full-time job, summer school, and catching up with old high school friends.
For a last little summer “hoorah”, my family and a couple close family friends stayed in Panama City Beach, Florida for a week. It was so much fun and exactly what we all needed to wrap summer up. Our beach house was beautiful and right on the ocean with a private access, so we spent the next 7 days laying out on the white sand all day long. It was amazing! The water was so clear and warm too. We honestly spent everyday in the ocean and never got sick of it. On our fourth day we drove into 30A and visited all the shopping centers in Seaside, which was beautiful and such a cute community. Everything was just a bike ride along the beach away, I loved it! And of course, we couldn’t go to Seaside without stopping at our favorite food truck, The Melt Down, the experts of specialty grilled cheese’s! So yummy! We also went to Pier Park in Panama City, which had tons of shops, boutiques, and cute restaurants right by the ocean. There was so much to see and do, but you can’t beat laying out by the ocean! My favorite part was just waking up and drinking my coffee on the balcony while being able to see and feel the ocean right there. On our way home we took a little detour and stopped at the famous “Flora-Bama” for lunch. This restaurant is half in Florida, and half in Alabama, how cool! The atmosphere was very fun and unique with a live band playing, gift shops, great seafood, and a beach access! In addition to Flora-Bama being a restaurant it was also a yacht club which I thought was pretty cool.
This trip was something we would definitely love to do annually because it put an end to our summer perfectly! I 10/10 recommend the Florida beaches as the sand is so soft and the water so clear, along with the numerous tourist attractions all throughout the city. If any of y’all have ever been to the Florida beaches please let me know which area you stayed in and how it was! Also, I have a lot of blogs coming your way once I am settled in school so stay tuned and subscribe!
much love, Sydnee
