BTS | My Favorite Easy & Quick Breakfasts!!

Okay, we all know that “early morning running through your house trying to find your other shoe or lost car keys, no time for a good breakfast” kinda day. We have all been there! I am here to share a few of my favorite easy breakfasts that are perfect for any college student, or really any busy person on the run.

Peanut Butter Oatmeal

Oatmeal is very fast and easy to heat up in the microwave so it’s perfect for anyone in a dorm. There’s so many possibilities of adding your favorite ingredients like blueberries, almonds, etc. However, my favorite is steel-cut oats with banana slices and a spoonful of peanut butter! I know it sounds a little weird but it is so good if you’re a peanut butter lover like me! Peanut butter is a great way to get your natural fats and fill you up for the rest of the day. I occasionally add a little bit of honey or pure maple syrup to make it more sweet πŸ™‚

Avocado Toast

This one takes a little bit more time, but it’s definitely worth the extra couple minutes! Just throw a slice of whole grain bread in the toaster and mash up half of an avocado in a bowl. I add a sprinkle of salt and pepper in my avocado mix and spread it directly on the toast. I usually finish it off with a dash of red pepper flakes to add a little kick, but you can dress it up anyway you’d like to.

The Dorm Omelet

Sorry, I don’t have a picture of this meal or the next (busy student problems), but this one is perfect for those 8am class mornings when you’re craving more than just a granola bar or a pack of yogurt. Grab a microwave safe mug and crack two eggs in it, then add your favorite omelet ingredients like cheese, diced ham and peppers. Then microwave the eggs for two minutes, stirring every 20 seconds to keep the omelet from exploding in your microwave, yikes! That’s it! Super easy, filled with protein, and a delicious start to your morning!

Blueberry Greek Yogurt

Honestly, I eat this all the time as a dessert at night, but it’s also a perfect breakfast. I put about 4 spoonfuls of low-fat vanilla Greek yogurt in a bowl and sprinkle some blueberries on top. It is so delicious, and you can even add granola or different types of fruit.

Peanut Butter, Honey, Banana Toast

This one is very simple but so delicious! All it is is a piece of whole grain bread toasted with peanut butter, a drizzle of honey, and banana slices! So yummy and perfect to eat on the go. And of course, a cup of coffee on the side πŸ˜‰
